How much does polished concrete cost in Geelong?

Two floors of the same size can involve very different scopes. An open new slab and an occupied renovation with several small rooms need different allowances. A floor plan helps establish the area; photographs and a site assessment help establish the condition.

• Starting condition. Existing coverings, residues, surface damage and repairs need to be understood before polishing is priced.
• Exposure and finish. The amount of aggregate you want to reveal and the agreed sheen shape the specification.
• Edges and access. Room layout, stairs, fixed joinery and restricted access affect how the floor can be worked.
• Programme. Staged visits and coordination with other trades should be included in the discussion.

Ask what is included for preparation, edges, repairs, protection, final cleaning and any return visits. Confirm exclusions, GST and when the floor can be handed back. For a new build, establish separately who is supplying and placing the concrete. A polishing quote should not be assumed to include a new structural slab.

• Project suburb and whether it is residential or commercial.
• Approximate floor area and a floor plan, if available.
• Whether the slab is new, existing or still to be poured.
• Wide photographs and close details of the current surface.
• Your preferred exposure, reference images and intended timing.
