Slab Studio — Polished Concrete
QUEENSCLIFF / OCEAN GROVE / BELLARINE

Polished concrete on the Bellarine.

From a varied reveal of stone to full aggregate exposure. Our Bellarine project work offers a useful starting point for choosing the character of your floor.

Two floors. Different expressions.

Our Queenscliff project combines random exposure with a gloss polish. At Ocean Grove, full exposure reveals more of the aggregate. Looking at both the wider room and the close-up photographs helps distinguish the amount of stone from the final sheen.

These are genuine Slab Studio projects, not a promise that another slab will reproduce the same appearance. Aggregate, concrete colour and placement can all change the result.

For a new home or a floor already there.

With a new build, agree the intended finish early enough for the concrete and construction teams to coordinate. For a renovation, the first question is what the existing slab can support. Repairs, adhesives and separate pours may form part of the finished character.

Read about residential floors or the commercial project brief, then bring the details specific to your space.

Consider the threshold.

Interior polished concrete and exterior Pavilion finishes can share a material conversation while having different specifications. An alfresco area, path or pool surround needs its exposure, texture and intended use considered separately from the living room.

The Highton Pavilion case study, in Geelong, shows our exterior work. We use it as a finish reference rather than presenting it as a Bellarine project.

A Geelong studio, working across the peninsula.

Slab Studio travels to Bellarine projects, including Queenscliff and Ocean Grove. Tell Irwin the project location, approximate area, build stage and the finish you are considering. Plans and current photographs help make the first conversation more specific.

Every quote follows that discussion. You work directly with the owner, with the actual slab guiding the recommendation.

Questions,
considered.

Can I see examples of your Bellarine work?

Yes. The Queenscliff and Ocean Grove project pages show genuine Slab Studio floors, with random exposure and full exposure respectively.

Are you based on the Bellarine?

Slab Studio is based in Geelong and travels to projects across the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast. We do not list a separate Bellarine office.
